It runs four trip types on Missouri River and Northeast Nebraska waters at a single flat rate: $250 per person for four hours on the water plus an additional hour of fish cleaning at the takeout. All gear (rods, reels, bows, arrows, tackle, boat, fuel, deck lights for night bowfishing) is included. Clients bring a Nebraska fishing license and, when applicable, a Nebraska state paddlefish tag. ## Who uses it - Nebraska and Midwest residents looking for a guided fishing trip on the Missouri River. - First-time bowfishers who want to learn the method with a coach and provided gear. - Annual paddlefish tag-holders looking for a guide for the October snagging season or June archery season. - Families and small groups (up to about 4-5 people) wanting a half-day on the river. - Out-of-state anglers visiting Northeast Nebraska. ## Trip types ### Bowfishing - Year-round, day or night. - Targets: nongame species — common carp, gar, buffalo. - Notes: The only after-dark trip. Custom-rigged boat with deck lights. Bow and arrows provided. Beginners welcome — Ty will coach you on the bow even if you've never shot one. ### Paddlefish snagging - Season: October 1 through October 31, daylight hours 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Nebraska Game and Parks regulation). - Method: Hook-and-line snag. - Location: Missouri River. - Permit: Nebraska state paddlefish snagging tag required. Client draws their own tag in the annual lottery. ### Paddlefish archery - Season: June 1 through June 30, sunrise to sunset (Nebraska Game and Parks regulation). - Method: Bow. - Location: Missouri River. - Permit: Nebraska state paddlefish archery tag required (separate from the snagging draw). Crossbows are prohibited above the Highway 81 bridge under Nebraska law. ### Rod and reel - Season: Spring through fall, daylight hours. - Targets: Catfish (channel and flathead), walleye, smallmouth bass. - Notes: Family-friendly pace. We fish what's biting that day depending on water temperature and conditions. ## Pricing One flat rate for every trip type: **$250 USD per person**. The rate covers: - Four hours of guided fishing on the water. - About one hour of fish cleaning at the takeout afterward. - All rods, reels, bows, arrows, tackle, boat, fuel, and (for bowfishing) deck lights. - Photos sent to the client after the trip. Not included (client supplies): - Nebraska fishing license. - Nebraska state paddlefish snagging or archery tag if booking a paddlefish trip. Payment is taken at the takeout: cash, Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp. No deposit is required to lock a date in V1. ## How it works 1. Ty replies personally — usually within a few hours, faster on weekends. 3. Trip date is agreed and booked. No deposit required. 4. The day before the trip, Ty texts the client a map and parking directions to the launch point. The launch is on federal property; a Nebraska state park permit is not required. 5. Client arrives with a valid Nebraska fishing license, weather-appropriate clothes, food and drinks, optional cooler. Stromquist Outdoors brings everything else. 6. Four hours on the water, plus about an hour of fish cleaning at the takeout. 7. Payment at the takeout. Photos sent after. If a trip is cancelled for weather, it is rescheduled to another open date.
